Dunearn Road Neighbourhood Guide

Dunearn Road is the starting point for understanding the location of Vanda Green. The useful question for a prospective resident is how this part of Bukit Timah works in daily life: reaching a station, crossing to shops, travelling to school and finding a regular place for a walk. A broad neighbourhood label cannot answer all of those questions on its own.

The land parcel and the wider neighbourhood

URA’s May 2026 tender award identifies the Dunearn Road site awarded to Winrich Investment and Metrobilt Construction as a 19,045.9-square-metre parcel, with a 99-year lease and residential use with commercial space at the first storey. These are the official land-sale particulars, distinct from final apartment layouts and facilities. See the URA tender award for the source record.

The site also sits within the wider story of Bukit Timah Turf City redevelopment. Treat that long-term neighbourhood programme separately from the construction and handover of an individual condominium. A new home’s completion does not mean every surrounding public amenity will be ready at the same time.

Start with the journeys you repeat most

Work and public transport

The Sixth Avenue MRT guide explains the existing Downtown Line connections. Test the full trip from the proposed residential entrance to your workplace, including road crossings, platform access and the walk at the far end. Repeat the route in the direction you will take home; the most convenient bus stop or crossing may differ.

Groceries and household errands

Use the shopping guide to compare Guthrie House, Coronation Plaza and Bukit Timah Plaza by the errand you need to complete. A supermarket trip with bags is a different test from an unhurried walk. Look for a route you would comfortably use on a wet evening.

School days

For families, the schools guide separates school locations from admission eligibility. Check the gate your child would actually use, the dismissal routine and the onward journey to student care or home.

Make room for an outdoor routine

The Rail Corridor around Bukit Timah provides a useful starting point for planning an outdoor outing. Choose a particular access point and a return route instead of assuming that being near a green corridor gives direct access from every street.

A focused neighbourhood visit

  • Compare the actual development entrance with the station and shop entrances you intend to use.
  • Visit during your usual commuting period as well as a quieter weekend.
  • Note shade, crossings, construction diversions and places to wait with children.
  • Record which amenities are open today and which depend on future works.

Bring those observations back to the Vanda Green location map. They provide a more useful basis for a home decision than a list of nearby place names alone.
